State Leaders' Retreats
This year's NEEEA State Leaders Retreat will
take place at Ferry Beach Ecology School in Saco, Maine from Friday
evening, November 2nd to Saturday afternoon, November 3rd.
NEEEA organizes this event every other year for members of the
state environmental education organization boards to build capacity
in state leadership. Past topics have included board member orientation,
strategic planning, creation of a recommended practices manual
and fundraising. The retreat includes great networking and
learning opportunities with participants leaving motivated and
armed with strategies and tools. NEEEA’s mission is to promote
quality environmental education across New England in partnership
with the state environmental education organizations. We hope retreats
such as these serve to strengthen the state organizations and their

The Administrators' Retreat
NEEEA organizes this event every other year for environmental education
administrators in New England. Past retreats have included important
topics such as Leadership and Systems Change and Non-Profit
Marketing on a Tight Budget. The retreat includes great networking opportunities
and participants leave equipped with strategies and tools to apply
to their work. NEEEA’s mission is to promote quality environmental
education across New England. We hope retreats such as these serve
to strengthen the various environmental education organizations throughout
the New England states.
